The tsunami against President Alberto Fernández and Cristina Kirchner on November 14, 2021
” The time has come , salvation of Argentines who will overthrow politicians who are not working for the country …”
Águas de Lindóia , November 09, 2021
President Alberto Fernández and Cristina Kirchner ( nothing personal ) have made more campaign events than many of the candidates running for election on November 14, 2021 . During the period, meetings with ministers or dispatches from their offices at the Casa Rosada were replaced by visits to poor neighborhoods, rallies in different provinces and interviews to media aligned to the government, as is typical in Peronism.
The effort is justified. If the Peronists repeat the poor results of the primaries in September, the remaining two years of Fernandez’s administration will take place in even more turbulent waters.
Even though the legislative elections are divided by districts, it is symbolic that the government lost in the primaries by ten percentage points in the general scenario, in an overwhelming result: defeat in 18 of the country’s 24 districts, including the province of Buenos Aires, which concentrates 38% of the national electorate.
On November 14th 2021, 34 million voters, tired of so many injustices, unkept promises, corruption problems and, above all, a bad economy, will go to the polls to elect 127 deputies (out of a total of 257) and 24 senators (out of 72). While all of the country’s provinces will choose deputies, only eight will vote for senators: Córdoba, Corrientes, Tucumán, Chubut, Santa Fe, Catamarca, Mendoza and La Pampa.
Forecasts indicate that the numbers in the election will be the same as in the primaries, that is, the advance of the main opposition alliance, the center-right Juntos por el Cambio (JPC), led by the Republican Proposal, the party of former President Mauricio Macri. There is no recovery of the ruling coalition, the Frente de Todos (FDT), of different Peronist groups, but without threatening an opposition triumph. There is, still, in the premonitory dreams points to an even more expressive defeat for the government.
One of the regions where the dispute is more fierce is the province of Buenos Aires, however, will have a radical change , where the Peronists devoted special attention after losing by four percentage points, will take a fair wash of voters who are suffering and under pressure from great fantasies unfulfilled by the current government . According to dreams , Diego Santilli, could easily win .
In the country’s capital, the city of Buenos Aires – the gap will be greater for the opposition. The former governor María Eugenia Vidal (JPC) will lead until the end .
It is in Buenos Aires, too, that the ultra-right will have the most support. The Avanza Libertad alliance, with economist Javier Milei at the head, will win, will have the preference and will win comfortably .
From a spiritual point of view, the defeat of Peronism will be more than necessary for the change in Argentina.
The fall in popularity of Cristina Kirchner and President Alberto Fernández began after scandals during the pandemic, and well before with several cases shown, and the collapse begins after an administration that failed to deliver on promises and much less combat the economic and financial crisis that affects Argentina at this time, since the inauguration of both .
This election will be a watershed in Argentine politics, because what is being measured, more than the fall in popularity of Fernández or who will occupy which post in Congress, is the answer to the questions ‘Cristina, yes’ or ‘Cristina, no’,” which most can observe is Cristina No – failed in everything .
“In other words, the Peronist electorate no longer wants Cristina and her image has already begun to dissolve.”
In fact, it was not the former president who led the changes in Fernández’s cabinet after the defeat in the primaries and defined the campaign strategy, but , the vice president and the president , did it, with absurd and fanciful promises – after, winning the elections in Argentina , they changed everything and the promises were scattered in the air .
“I see that she did it all the time, trying to take over the Presidency, overthrowing her partner, wanting to continue influencing the directions of the government. If in the first two years she left the task with Alberto, weakening him, now his power will also fall, and his agenda should be weaker than before.
Among Cristina’s open criticism of the president is Fernández’s haste to close a deal with the International Monetary Fund, for which Argentina owes $44 billion, as well as debates around social spending and the return of a protectionist policy in trade relations. However, both have bogged down Argentina in an unprecedented economic crisis – and here the question remains, what is the point of Cristina Kirchner making agreements for a large nuclear power plant in that country? -Bringing more danger to the Argentine people, as well as to all of South America.
A steeper defeat of Peronism on November 14, 2021, could make it impossible for the ruling party to have a quorum to start a Senate session without the support of the opposition.
If it also loses congressional seats, Peronism could see the command of the Chamber, currently headed by Sergio Massa, change sides, which would put an opponent in the line of presidential succession.
In the economic field, the government’s task in the last two years of Fernández and Cristina’s administration has not evolved either. With inflation accumulated at more than 50% in the year, unemployment at 12% and 45% of the population in poverty, the government has resorted to different strategies to stretch the social blanket, and failures have been extending, propitiating the arrival even further into the abyss. So, of course, there has to be a solid change.
The government tried to pretend, freezing the prices of more than 1,400 products until January, prohibiting layoffs and elaborating social plans, which didn’t work, but only increased the crisis in Argentina.
Although hyperinflation is, in principle, not ruled out by the visionary, a scenario of recession with inflation is the most likely for 2022 and 2023. One of the main questions will be how to make it possible to bring money into the country. Investors will not come at a minimal confiscatory risk, and that will be why measures that signal stability and commitment are important, which brings about such change .
Thus, the possible murder of a merchant in La Matanza, the most populous district in Greater Buenos Aires, for example, will contaminate the campaign speeches of Cristina Kirchner and Alberto . The leaders of Juntos por el Cambio claim that the crime, committed by a thief, will be the result of the ineffective policies of the Peronist governor of Buenos Aires province. And residents will hold protests in front of the place where the killing will take place .( excerpt from copy of letter sent to authorities – before the crime )
The Peronists, try to put the blame on previous governors . The tension in the region, however, is high, with confrontations with the police and the use of tear gas to disperse the demonstrators. Therefore, it will be a disaster for the Peronist campaign and for the occupants Cristina and Alberto, who will lose even more trust of the people, who will slowly start to open their eyes before these political situations, which do not bring solidity or guarantees to the people in Argentina.
May God bless you all!
