Brazil, as in many parts of the world, needs deep reforms in all areas to reduce violence in society. He also explained that public security should be one of the most discussed points in the next elections, but he does not see changes in practice. I believe that the time has come to place public security among the priorities of governments. Francisco Vital da Silva was born in the hinterland of Bahia and, like many northeasterners, migrated to São Paulo in search of better living conditions. Chico’s fame grew considerably, he received from the police force names of bandits sought by justice, executed them and came to be seen by the population as a great hero, a vigilante who replaced the terrible justice that the State has always provided to the poorest classes.
In the mid-1980s, criminals were killed in the peripheral areas of the city, Chico did much of the work, and was even triggered by the population more than the ROTA battalion itself.
